Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor could soon be packing his bags for AC Milan.rf
The Togo international is unsettled at the Emirates and the Italian giants are expected to put him out of his misery.
Milan owner and Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has confirmed that Adebayor (pictured) could be swapping the red and white of Arsenal for the famous red and black of the Rossoneri.
Berlusconi also said that Chelsea-bound coach Carlo Ancelotti will be replaced by Marco van Basten.
“Marco for me is like a son,” said Berlusconi.
“He is a piece of Milan history.” Then when asked which new players would arrive at Milan, he said: “There is a good chance we will get Adebayor.”
Chelsea could join the race to sign Adebayor but the player himself has done little to dampen speculation linking him to Milan, saying the club's interest is as flattering as being fancied by singer Beyonce Knowles.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger last week insisted he would have no qualms selling to a Premier League rival.
