Bayern Munich have signed Mario Gomez, as they look to add more quality to their squad after missing out on the Bundesliga title to Wolfsburg this season.
The German international has been on Bayern’s radar for some time, and the Allianz Arena club have reportedly paid £26million to take him from Stuttgart on a five-year deal.
"Bayern Munich are delighted that Mario Gomez has decided to join our club," said chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. "Mario is a top class striker.
“He has scored over twenty goals in each of the last three seasons. He has proven to be one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga. We are now looking forward to having him on our team."
